After a while it really began to bug me: the outposts I return to will after about 2 trips get completely flooded with missions I will never do
Maybe I'm not geared out for them, maybe I just don't want to do them but eitherway I'm forced to accept them and they will forever stay in that outpost's mission log and eventually block other missions from being accepted simply because I already have too many
To this I suggest simply adding a "decline mission" button, an NPC offers you a ruin expedition, killing a hammerhead and a cargo run, you decline the expedition and accept the other two because you actually want to do them.
On the other hand, and a more complex solution: Rework how missions are accepted!
Maybe a techy bulletin board of sorts could be added or the two mission givers kept, eitherway youre taken to the map:
You have Outpost A and B ahead of you, when you click on them the missions that would take you there are displayed - this is an extra quality of life addition that I believe could help, not only can you decline missions but you can also accept missions that would take you on the path you want, since while the hard missions you like doing will take you to Outpost A, that outpost's paths would take you on a dive through radiation the very next turn, so you go to outpost B instead: one of the two missions there you don't want to do so you accept the other and move on.
With how the game currently works you would go to two separate mission givers on different parts of the outpost and without you knowing what the mission even is, you'd be forced to accept them... and only when you return to your ship to select your destination would you know where those missions actually take you, clogging up the mission log with something you will likely never do and wasting your time.
Thats essentially my entire suggestion, either a quick button to decline a mission or a small rework - I feel like mission planning would be a big thing in the Barotrauma universe given travel between outposts takes days at a time in the lore, so why not bring that aspect of life on the moon into the light by giving the Captain and his trusted crew a way to select the specific missions they want on the specific route they take?
