This solution leverages wa-agent to send the instance customData, which is only used to provide an initial BIG-IP configuration and not as the primary configuration API for a long-running platform.

wa-agent is an Azure technology, this doesn't exist in AWS, in AWS this would be cloudinit

correct the documentation with the correct technology :)
