When harvesting melons/pumpkins on reinforced land, if you are a member, mod, or owner of the group it's reinforced to you have the ability to break the stems even when bypass mode is turned off.

is this only the owner? I think this is supposed to be a feature

It happens when you're a mod of a group as well. Why would this be a feature? Can you turn it off so it reacts like every other citadel reinforcement?

its a feature to prevent the need for constant bypassing to harvest your
own crops, designed to help make crop reinforcement more transparent, stems
don't really gain from it as much as wheat does but it counts as a crop so
it behaves the same way

Is it possible to separate wheat and carrots/potatoes and pumpkin_stem/melon_stem? Since melons/pumpkins are harvest-able without destroying the initial crop.

that might be feasible

It's a feature don't ruin it.

Pumpkins and melons get reinforced when the block they grow on top of is reinforced, and it works the same way (i.e. being a member on the group is enough to break them).

Amunak, That's the problem.

When you're not in bypass mode, the stems still are being broken. for normal crops this is ok, because the crop is directly on top of the block that's reinforced. For melons/pumpkins the crop is off to the side, and leaving the stem susceptible to being broken on accident.
