In MUSE 1.0 there is a discrepancy between investment and dispatch in both the adhoc and scipy solution approaches. However there is a solution to this - via using a general Nash equilibrium instead. One good example of this is here:

https://doi.org/10.1109/TPWRS.2012.2235467. This is quite sophisticated relative to what we need, but has the right fundamental features that will suit MUSE 2.0.
And in the lit review of that article a number of alternatives are also mentioned, which could be considered.
