Oh wow. That takes me back. I wonder if there was any cross fertilisation...
In 1995-7 I wrote the Select Software Tools UML round trip tool for Delphi. I found Visual Parse++ for the job and it really did a good job. It parsed Delphi, generated the Select Class diagrams and then from the class diagrams produced Delphi and unlike the other tools they had I didn't want oodles of decoration to allow the tool to sync.
So it uses it to rev eng Delphi. It would be interesting at what level. In the ukDevGroup we have someone who used Antlr to cross compile Delphi to CLR (think c#).
I can't remember how VP++ works, I think it delivered code that compiled into the EXE that delivered in in memory object tree, is that correct?
Is there a replacement for this?
