Firmware install failing with "Failed to download manifest" #98
Comments
I'm getting the same thing, it looks like Github is rate limiting the request. {"message":"API rate limit exceeded for <ip_here>. (But here's the good news: Authenticated requests get a higher rate limit. Check out the documentation for more details.)","documentation_url":"https://docs.github.com/rest/overview/resources-in-the-rest-api#rate-limiting"} |
Same issue I am having. |
I'm having the same problem as well. I was able to load the initial ESPHome firmware just fine using web.esphome.io and I'm still having problems using the ESPresence web loader on the same ESP32. |
Dang it, I thought I had cloudflare caching so this wouldn't happen... |
Was working yesterday, but running into this again today. Is it possible to allow for manual downloads of firmware and manual installation via the web interface as a secondary option? |
Sorry, haven't had a chance to look into this, is anyone else experiencing it? |
I am experiencing this today trying to reflash one of my base stations that was stuck in a loop of crash and reboot. Tried different versions but all seem to give the same error. Maybe I can just flash the esp32.bin file over USB? Edit: Manually flashed esp32.bin for latest pre-release using ESPHome-Flasher-1.4.0 and it worked! Maybe something is just broken with the web tool's connection to GitHub? |
I am having this same issue But only when selecting the installation without bluetooth proxy |
Describe the bug
Attempting to flash an esp32 using https://espresense.com/firmware however the version tab does not show any available versions and when I click connect it gives the error "Failed to download manifest".
