To get more online engagement, we should break down the long-form content into smaller tweetable bits that link back to the long-form content. To do that:

  • Create at least 5+ snippets from each article/blog post that can be posted as a Tweet on the account.

    • Add a link to the respective article, and if the snippet speaks to a concept, have an image or short clip that demonstrates it if possible.
    • Where applicable, put code in the image alt text. There are better ways to share code, but having it there piques interest, hence engagement
  • Other snippets can be taken from the presentations done at meetups. For instance, a couple of Tweets can be made from the philosophy behind Monarch, which is important information to users that don't have a background with Storybook or similar products.

  • The concept that sample projects demonstrate can be broken done into smaller bits from which short clips can be made to make more content.

Post Frequency

  • Roll out an article/blog post once every 2 or 3 weeks.
  • Tweet snippets from the current article until the next one.
  • At a minimum, make a tweet once every second day.
