The registration of components and the naming of the module can be integrated to the software.

Small issue to be sorted: the database integration might differ from center to center. Alternatively, an independent software/script could be used.

It could look like the image pasted below. Alternatively it could be in a new tab or part of the toolbox.

Nice, thanks for starting to think about that. In general, the module registration/creation and the assignment of the components to it don't have to happen at the same time necessarily.

I could imagine that the parts are entered just along the way during the assembly. E.g. in the picture in step 1 one tells the software which MaPSa is placed and then once its glued to the baseplate the info gets shipped to the db.

Ah, that's a good hint. You mean that we could have a step sequence like ...

  1. Scan MaPSA ID
  2. Place MaPSA on Assembly Platform
  3. Go to measurement position ...

...

  1. Scan Baseplate ID
  2. Place Baseplate on Assembly Platform

...

  1. Lower MaPSA onto Baseplate
  2. Push information to Database
  3. Wait for Glue to Cure
    ...

and similar for the consecutive steps?

Exactly, something like that. 👍
