Right so if this is a general activity night site then this whole thing could be on /vote or w/e but we can discuss that here.

So essentially the way I see it at the moment is people can submit ideas in response to a prompt from an organiser, which are then shortlisted by the admins or community through either updooting or the admins choosing their faves. After this there is a vote on the shortlist to decide what we will play.

Any thoughts?

Hmm; I guess it depends on the structure that's been looked at for community events.

If the events are aimed to be semi-regular but one off distinct events, it might be a good idea to have a process like this for each of them in order to decide what each event should be like, making each event feel special and custom tailored.

If the events are instead intended to be regular (For example, Friday evening every fortnight), I feel like it might be better to have a more continuous and ongoing process, for example a constant list where people can +1 games they'd like to see and activities would be picked from the top few every couple of weeks to fill up the calendar, of course avoiding repeats being too regular.
