Comments
This screenshot of the crashreport window does not provide any useful insight of what happens. Please just click "report error" instead of screenshotting this ui... If this creash is related to a crash report of 2024-04-24 ~21:00h, this report suggest you either use Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012. If yes, please consider updating to a newer operating system. |
Hi
I have been using Cryptool on my computer and it suddenly just stopped
working. The only information I got was the crash report I shared with you
and the same will not be displayed for too long hence I had to take a snip
of it.
Below are my system's specifications. Is Cryptool configured to work with
this?
Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 22H2
Installed on 03/11/2023
OS build 22621.3447
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22688.1000.0
I have tried installing and reinstalling but still will not work. Kindly
guide me on what I need to do.
Thank you.
Lawrence

Hello Lawrence,
Did you recently install/update anything, especially with respect to .net runtime? Could you described exactly what happens and when?
kind regards, Nils |
Hi Nils,
Thank you for your swift response to my email. First, I must sincerely
commend your swift and exceptional customer service. Thank you for that.
The crash report will not allow me to click on "Report error" before it
disappears quickly.
No, I did not install/update anything on my laptop.
How it happened: I finished working on Cryptool a about 1:30 a.m. UK time,
this morning, 26th April and closed my laptop. One minute later, I needed
to show a colleague something I worked on on Cryptool. I powered on my
laptop and launched the application, what came up next was the crash report.
I have installed the nightly build version as suggested but still got
thesame message.
Thank you for helping to look into this issue.
Regards.
Lawrence

Hello Lawrence,
1. Could you please please click on the send report button and add a
message before sending identifying its you, e.g. by just writing your first
name?
Did you recently install/update anything, especially with respect to .net
runtime?
Could you described exactly what happens and when?
2. Could you then pelase try to install the nightly build instead of
the release version and check if it works?
kind regards,
Nils
