For the most part (Spikeocausius and sunflowers need further testing, trumpets cannot survive at all and should be investigated separately), C2toDS plants can survive without player intervention, not considering creature activity. However, the metaroom itself overdoes CA fluctuations to the point of being too volatile for most plants to survive in the long term.
Even the first spring night is enough to damage many of the default plant populations, and by the time the first winter ends, pears and triffids are the only surviving land plants on most of the map. Outside of that, only the grass in the garden, the spinnomosa cacti in the desert, and the tomatoes in the incubator room can sustain themselves, this being in a world with no creature activity at all.
