The DSB has engaged University of South Australia on the topic of dark patterns.

The purpose of this work is to understand identify Dark Patterns that are relevant and likely to be used in the CDR, and consider how resistant the CDR is to these Dark Patterns.

The focus of this work are articulated in the Data Standards, Rules, and various proposed changes particularly:

The outputs of this work will help inform the substance and direction of the consent review proposals relating to dark patterns.
