Dear all,

I have recently added someone to "My Collaboration" in Chemotion Repository. This researcher did not signed up before. I added the ORCID iD, which fetched the First Name and Last Name. Subsequently, I added the email address and affiliation and pressed "create and save".

The user I added received an empty welcome message (connected to #74), but did not receive any instructions on how to set the password. A workaround is to go to https://www.chemotion-repository.net/users/sign_in and press "Forgot your password?". However, this is just a workaround.

If someone gets an account by someone else adding this users to My Collaboration, the user should not receive and empty welcome message, but a welcome message also providing instructions how to set a password.

Best,
Tillmann

Another workaround to login is to login via ORCID iD. Then, the user might go to -> Change password and add a new password. However, the prompt also asked for the Current password, which was not set. Leaving this blank gives an error message Current password can't be blank

Another thing of interest when people are registered by someone else via My Collaboration is that the user getting registered has no choice on the Name abbreviation (Kürzel).
