Show grouped Gantt blocks in one line

I'm new to Github, so i'm not sure this is the right place - anyway:
We/our customer has a need for changing the view format of the Gantt Chart View with the gantt_improvement module for Odoo version 8:
Basically we would like to view the gantt blocks in the same row, instead of stacked in seperated gantt rows for each gantt-item.
To explain this better i have attached a document with an example illustrated.
I am open to suggestions of either adding features to the existing module, or creating a new module. Also, we are able to provide funds for work on the project.
