Eventually, we hope to be able to have open-source projection codes that we can link to in this repo. This would mean that:

  • all projection input data (eg climate data, socioeconomic data) would either be public, or we would provide code that allows users to generate these data
  • all projection repos would be open source on github rather than gitlab. These include:

We should update to include instructions for installing all these repos into the same repo as the energy-code-release-repo, and loading them into a conda environment (the risingverse).

We should also make sure that the climate data and socioeconomic data are stored in a location that allows users to run the code outside of the CIL servers.

We should test this by running a diagnostic projection (i.e. single IR) locally and checking it lines up with a diagnostic projection run on the server for one of our models.
