Eventually, we hope to be able to have open-source projection codes that we can link to in this repo. This would mean that:
all projection input data (eg climate data, socioeconomic data) would either be public, or we would provide code that allows users to generate these data
all projection repos would be open source on github rather than gitlab. These include:
We should update to include instructions for installing all these repos into the same repo as the energy-code-release-repo, and loading them into a conda environment (the risingverse).
We should also make sure that the climate data and socioeconomic data are stored in a location that allows users to run the code outside of the CIL servers.
We should test this by running a diagnostic projection (i.e. single IR) locally and checking it lines up with a diagnostic projection run on the server for one of our models.
