Hi everyone,
Would anyone be interested in participating in an NSF project via a subcontract (a couple of months/year of salary support)? The project deadline is August 15th and involves implementing a TQG in the Caribbean Sea.
To be more specific, this is not just a TQG but a model with the geometric structure of the TQG type, namely Euler-Poincaré/Lie-Poisson. The Lagrangian/Hamiltonian is symbolically learned using a certain (white-box) data science tool, consistent with SSH and SST data (numerically generated by HYCOM, for example). The goal of this part of the project is to assess how well the dynamics were learned.
I have a postdoc who is an expert in Julia, but does not have CFD experience. However, he is willing to learn and assist.
If you are interested, please email me.
Best regards,
