It would be a great boost if yrpri platforms could join the Fediverse. This would expose discussions to wider audiences and lower the threshold to participation.

As a minimal integration I see two things (not necessarily bundled together):

  • users from other platforms and instances to be able to upvote and downvote
  • users from other platforms to be able to post comments (and possibly ideas, but less convinced about this)
