Create and manage own private keys

Hello,

I am new to Chia, but I have some important questions to ask.

I would like to create my own private and public keys and use those in the chia application. I know that I can use the app to create the keys, but I want to have full control over the keys without using the Chia app? I know the algorithm is based on BLS-12-381, but does any application like openssl support BLS-12-381 or does any programing language? Due to the fact, that it is possible to create keys with the Chia app it has to be possible for us to create our own keys, because the programers of the app for sure use some standard library or application to do so. So how can I create my own keys and import them into the Chia app?
