CU System Advancement is the only department allowed by the university to email potential/existing donors who have contact information secured from a patient database as part of the Grateful Patient program. Because patient databases require high-levels of security and legal protections concerning privacy (HIPAA), we are obligated to create and document a solid process that shows our due diligence to protect that information when we are using the Salesforce suite of services.
Contact Matt R to retrieve his last, more detailed set of documentation from spring 2021
Work with Central eComm to create a process that prioritizes patient database contact information as it relates to HIPAA regulations (compare this process with Matt's documentation/process)
Create documentation that lives in Digital Engagement/Marketing team wiki on Confluence
Send documentation to Chris Rose, Jerry Sinning and Laura Strand for Compliance Review
