The PlacePress widget does not always appear in stock WP theme menus without having details changed in any of the three input boxes.
This has happened on two different hosts, one running PHP 7.2 the other PHP 7.4. It did not happen - ie widget worked upon being dragged into the menu and 'publish' being click - on a third host running PHP 7.3. Using latest WP 5.6 in all cases.
When I change details in the 'Title', 'Type' or 'Number to show' boxes, the widget acted as expected and described.
Attached screen shot shows 'published' yet widget not showing up.
