Thank you all for developing a really exciting piece of software that will have real impact on the future development of scRNAseq analysis. I'm writing because I am interested in applying minnow to 10X 5' data, but in reading your publication I noticed that the MAX_FRAGLEN argument seems to be intended for 3' data. Is there an argument that can be applied to use minnow to simulate 5' data? And if so, how would one go about doing that? Thank you for your help and again thank you for developing such a great addition to the tools for single cell!

Hi @cohenp05 ,
Thanks for reaching out. Apologies for late reply. Of course, I would love to include a full-length model for generating that kind of simulated reads. Unfortunately, I am not very familiar with the exact type of data you want to generate. Feel free to drop me an email at [email protected], and we could chat in detail, what you might exactly expect from the simulation.
