Perform backend changes to integrate notifications feature.

Dependencies:

Assuming a similar structure to the other issues, this should depend on the frontend, however this could be wrong.

Acceptance:

When we get a notification on the screen, and the notification includes the right content, this should be fine. Hopefully when the user posts or someone posts in the users thread in NodeBB, there should be a notification that pops up on the screen.

Thursday, Oct 10 - We were able to achieve something with notifications in Sprint 1, however, we were not sure how to go about it, which is why Khalifa ended up focusing on Anonymous back end a little more. For this reason, we could not get Notifications back end to be done.
