need help diagnosing apt update issues #2710

The app will not install

Description

I was trying to install zoom and steam and they both keep failing to install with similar error messages. I only provided the error for steam

Looks to me like your internet is non-functional or your system time is way off. Try to fix those and execute

sudo apt update

in terminal and make sure there are no errors (Err:) anymore.

i did that and it said a bunch of stuff needs upgrading and i don't know how to do it properly. this is what came up

Looks to me like your internet issue is fixed. Try installing the applications you wanted to from pi-apps again.

I got zoom and steam downloaded but they won't open. When I try with steam it comes up with this error

'You are missing the following 32-bit libraries, and Steam may not run:
libc.so.6'

with zoom it has an icon of a magnifying glass but it wont open

Did you reboot after installing steam?

For zoom, try this in a terminal to see if it gives you errors:

box64 /opt/zoom/ZoomLauncher
