Pasting an image into editor does not always save it to storage

image

image

Expected behavior

Pasted images should always be saved to the note folder in storage

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open boostnote note
  2. Copy image to clipboard using scrot -zfs /tmp/screenshot-$(date +%F_%T).png -e 'xclip -selection c -t image/png < $f'
  3. Paste image into Boostnote note
  4. Image will be displayed even if not saved to storage
  5. Check note's storage folder to see if image was saved
  6. Reloading Boostnote will cause images not saved in storage to disappear from note

Environment

  • Boostnote version: 0.16.1 (provided by AUR)
  • Arch Linux 5.11.6-arch1-1

I have problem the same as you.

I have the same problem on the latest Windows version (v0.16.1)
I can see the images pasted into the note but they are not stored to the storage location at all.

Sometimes some images get saved and others don't without any obvious reason or error message.

As long as boostnote is running the images are shown but as soon as it's restarted, the image links are broken.

Same here on EndeavourOS (Arch based).
