Thanks. I hope MS back ports this to Win10.. their software states that my PC cannot upgrade to Win 11 becaus this processor, Ryzen 5 2400G is not supported...

Update! If I use desktop-shell instead of rdprail-shell then everything works. Tested with konsole, terminator etc. One major downside is that everything runs in a whole window instead of separate app window. Playing kapman with sound:

The fonts are normal. I minimize the window for screenshot.

Oh, could you make user-mode implementations of any drivers, use the path confusion bug to make Windows think the files in system32, and maybe avoid registering services by running the processes on login?

It might be possible, but that's basically rewriting WSL.

@Dakkaron Then why not? Does qemu have a library that works as a DLL? If not, someone could make one, or it could be used from JS. If qemu will work, people would just have to write a backend (maybe use node and qemu port forwarding) that'd be compatible with Microsoft's.

Does anyone here use the new Android subsystem on Windows? I am thinking to explore it with this project. I'm not sure if it is possible to run APK file but it is possibly play with system binaries. Just need output from some commands (e.g. mount) and event trace logs.

You misread my point. I can run Windows 11 in a VM but I can't enable virtualization in that VM for and WSL/WSA related stuff.
