A microfluidic device to analyse Cytosponge specimens for early detection of Oesophageal Adenocarcinoma. Cytosponge is a non endoscopic device created in our lab to retrieve million of cells from an oesophagus but there is a need for rapid analysis at a single cell level.

Contact person: Gianmarco Contino (gc502)

Organisation and Department: University of Cambridge and Addenbrooke’s Hospital

What would you like to learn? How to make microfluidic devices that combine antibody selection and single cell processing.

What can you teach people? The clinical aspects, biology and biomarkers of Oesophageal adenocarcinoma and how we can retrieve and analyse million of cells from a non endoscopic device created in our lab and now in a phase 3 clinical trial.

Hello,
I am a molecular biologist who has worked in an industry prior to my PhD, in the detection and analysis of circulating single cancer cells. I am interested in your project. Please reply if you are still looking for someone to work in this project.

Best,
Prabha
