Sometimes when spawning a new editor, the tabbed toolshelf has the wrong width (as if it had no tabs). This creates a weird visual bug.

Snapping also doesn't fix this, nor turning it on or off.

I think we had a fail-safe somewhere, but it must have gotten nuked or broken somewhere.

This is a long known issue that we never got fixed.

Ah... damn. I wonder if we can "default" it to a new width as if the tabs were on.

Yep could never figure out how to make it reset when toggling the tabs, I get the concept, just no idea where to put in the code.

What is the concept?

The concept of when tabs are turned on, it needs to update/refresh the tools region width, so it can recalculate the snap units correctly. or something along those lines, where to put something like this i can't seem to work out :(

Me did neither find a fix back in the days. As told, this was there since day one when we changed the default width.

Time to bug the blender devs on this one, thinking about putting tabs in blender and asking them to have a look at the code.
