I had the same issue. I have a hackintosh, i5 4590 and a GTX 750 Ti that I just upgraded from os 10.11 to High Sierra 10.13.6. with 10.11 I was able to download and use Nvidia driver manager, but with 10.13 I was thwarted [I assume by apple] I could not install NDM until I found this process via Terminal. Big thanks to Mr. Dobell! My 750 was working great and "About this Mac" saw my exact graphics card model.
After installing the latest security update I was back to the default macOs driver, I just reran the Dobell Terminal routine and it says that it's running Nvidia Web driver "387.10.10.10.40.136", but the driver is clearly broken and is acting as the Mac driver did. Are Nvidia still updating these?
