I'm trying to convert the plugin to binary to include in an AE Script. Converting the .aex works perfectly, but the .plugin won't give me a binary string. Obviously .aex is for Windows and the .plugin for Mac, but I wonder if there are any differences inside the plugin or whether it's just a different file extension?

Can you help?

*.plugin is not even a file, but a folder with a specific file structure. You must save and restore this structure.
