This project sound awesome.

I tried to use you module a bit but it looks like vbaProjectCompiler.ole_file does not exist yet ?
How close are we to something functional ?

The whole project is a work in progress, but it is functional to some extent. The OleFile branch is where I’m currently working.

The whole project is covered by three separate GitHub repositories:

• MS-CFB is a project to create ole files. Alternative projects can explode the ole file into its separate streams, but are unable to create files from scratch.
• This project specifically makes an ole file of VBA code. I’m targeting Excel VbaProject.bin, so if Access or Word vbaproject.bin files have different needs, let me know.
• Lastly I have a project that aims to create the xlam or xlsm file given a set of files to wrap around the ole file.

This project is currently lacking a command line interface. If you know python, you should be able to use it given what’s in the README and by looking at the tests. The Full Functional Test creates a working file, but the process is not fully streamlined yet. Much of the OleFile activities are going to be rolled into the ProjectOleFile view.

I’ve taken a break for a couple weeks but need to start working on it again.

If you know python (or even if you don’t….I used these projects as a way to teach myself python), I’m totally happy taking contributions by pull request and responding to issues.
