Error building gr-Zwave in cmake 3.15

I am unable to build the project with a modern version of cmake. After experimenting with downgrading several system components, I was able to get the project to compile using an old version of cmake (3.10.2). Can the gr-Zwave code be updated to compile in modern versions of cmake?

Build system: Kali linux 5.4.0 amd64 (dist-upgraded the morning of 1/13/2020)
