In short - no. We try to keep up with the latest improvements that Gradle and the Android Gradle Plugin have to offer, and we don't feel that maintaining backwards compatibility is worth extra effort. Of course, many Gordon versions will be backwards compatible with some Gradle and AGP versions, simply because many versions of Gradle and AGP do not contain breaking changes for Gordon. However, we always recommend using the latest versions of Gradle and of the AGP that you can. If you have problems with Gordon because you can't update your Gradle and/or AGP versions for some reason, you can always use an older Gordon version temporarily. |
