Hi,
I have problems with installing bustools. I've created a conda environment with phyton 3.6 and added the defaults, the bioconda and the conda-forge channels. when I try to do the conda install it does not find them. Doing conda search also does not return anything.
Is there something i am missing here? or is the only way to install bustools by using the binaries which I would like to avoid if possible.

Bioconda does not support Windows (see note at top of docs). Possible alternatives are running in WSL or a container (Docker or Singularity), if you want to stay local, or work online in something like Google Colab.
