I think it is an oversight while managing sound files for default resource pack, it could have been something else though.

Still an issue as of CE 3.0 Snapshot 2.1.

villagers use onAIOpenDoor which in turn uses onPoweredBlockChange which is the redstone activation method and only used by iron doors otherwise. DoorBlock and BlockDoor also aren't flattened yet. this should be refactored to a seperate method when doors get flattened
