I have a function that adds a single column by calling table(). This could be adapted to be part of astrodbkit, but I wonder if it is really necessary. How often do we envision adding columns? And would this imply we should have a complementary method that removes columns?
I don't see this as high priority but if you haven't written already, it
seems like it should be in astrodbkit.
