Cursor Jump While Editing

I am having an infuriating problem with the iOS app. I just tried uninstalling, rebooting my phone (iPhone 8, iOS 15.4.1), and reinstalling the app, and it did not help. The problem is that as I am typing, after every few words, it undoes what I just typed. It also simultaneously jumps to the bottom of the note. Sometimes it immediately jumps back up to where my cursor was before I started typing and sometimes it stays at the bottom and I have to scroll back up. The only way to get it to save anything I type is to hit the back arrow or the button to hide the keyboard, but I have to do it very quickly after every couple of words because if I type 4-5 words it is too late and it deletes them. And then I have to scroll back up to the top (if it jumped) before I can try again.

It seems to be only happening on some of my notes, but they are ones I need to use frequently. I tried copying and pasting the entire note into a new blank note and the problem started happening again after a few minutes. I took a video of the behavior that I could share if that helps.

I have had the same problem on and off for at least the last 4 years (I know because I emailed your support about it before) but it was not as severe, because I could usually type more like 10 words instead of 2.

Expected

Cursor shouldn't be jumping around and keep the position where the typing happens.

Observed

When it's a long text or more than one page, cursor can jump between pages.

Not sure are this is the same or related.

Very often, instead of the left arrow moving the cursor left in a note, it makes the page go back to the main screen with the list of notes.
The other arrows are fine. Up, moves the cursor up, down-down etc.
As stated, this issue happens quite often, and once in a while, the left arrow moves the cursor left just as it should.
I am using a 5th get ipad air, with a logitech keyboard.

I've tried to reproduce this with my Smart Keyboard but cannot seem to reproduce it. Maybe tied to a 3rd party keyboard issue?

Since a few days ago I have the following issue.

Everytime I want to add or edit something in a note, the app keeps taking me the bottom of the page.

Am I the only one complaining about this? is there a solution? I am on Samsung Galaxy S20.

I tried switching the phone on and off. didn't work. Also tried to log out and log in again. The problem came back.

In response I have chosen to reply to with the correct email address registered with and for my Simplenote app.

I only use Simplenote on my ACER Windows 10 Laptop with no issues and my Samsung S22 Ultra Android 13, where I am experiencing the auto scrolling issue with the Notes.

I can confirm that I am trying to reduce the size of my notes because many but not all are to long and it is not practical to have them as long as they are.

With this being said I am trying to mange my new lists with fewer items and delete the job done when it is done.

But I am sure that I noticed the new short list that I created on just 1 screen appeared to scroll down to the bottom.

I wouldn’t have a problem screen sharing the issue if it was also happening on my Simplenotes being accessed via my Windows 10 Laptop.

The Auto Scrolling issue appears to be only happening on my Android version of Simplenote and I am usure of how I may record this Auto Scrolling issue.

I have the same issue on my Android (Galaxy S21) where I'll edit something in the middle of my list and it'll automatically jump to the bottom of the list.

I have the same issue where the app keeps jumping to the bottom of the page. It has gotten so bad that I can no longer take notes on the Samsung S22 android phone. I've been patiently waiting for a solution but it seems that the application developers are beginning to neglect the software. This bug is so bad that it will force its users to switch to Notion if neglected

We've found the current appearance of this bug seems limited to Samsung phones on the new OneUI 5 and Android 13 updates. You'll see steps there that should help resolve this temporarily while our team investigates
