The data structure for the Pickles data set contains the column "luminosity", which holds not the luminosity class, but rather the spectral class. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stellar_classification#Luminosity_class for an explanation. The actual luminosity class is stored in the "evolution" column, whose name is at least physically more or less correct.
