Right now, a line consists of eight 2-byte pairs. We could let the user choose to have it organized in another way. This could be done with two config variables: the number of "blobs" per line and the number of bytes per "blob". The current behavior (and probably the default when this is implemented) is to have 8 "blobs" per line and 2 bytes per "blob".
