Hold to record

So my question is, I have been fiddling for about 2 weeks or so into this, and I am too deep into this plugin to pull back, however, i have been trying to make the AwesomeCaptureButton to have a Hold instead of clicking it to record and not record, and or even have it to record only few seconds, with minimum documentation on this, i have been banging my head around for days-end and would appreciate any feedback.

something i have tried is :

to make some loader and user hold button which records fine but it keeps crashing my app since the user would still need to remove their finger and the countdowntimer is still being execuded with

          p0.stopRecording();
        },
      );

but to no avail.
