Cannot use the back button to exit the application

Describe the bug
Cannot use the back button to exit the application/return to the home screen.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

1. Go to Facebook homepage.
2. Click on post.
3. Go back using the back button - it works.
4. Use back button to return to android home screen / exit app - it can't be done.

Details (please provide at least the app version):

• App Version: 3.2.0 (F-Droid)
• Device: Nokia 6.1 / Samsung A53
• Android Version: 10 / 13

This is something which seems to happen intermittently to me (Samsung S22, Android 13): sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t; I don’t know the exact conditions when it happens. I am used to killing the app manually if I cannot exit it normally.
