Modpack Version

What happened?

The server crashed when loading the chunks with those multi-blocks, and I think you guys should change how the furnace checks instead of having it constantly check the surrounding blocks, it's a huge load on the server, especially when a few players are building the same kind of multi-block structure. The laser_node in LaserIO also occupys much.

I have the same problem on my server (v2.33). And because these machines operate slowly, players unknowingly time-wand or soul surge them, multiplying the load.

our server crashed when reloading the chunks with those machines after everyone go somewhere else, so we have to force loading those chunks forever.

I've been having the same issue, my TPS on the family server has dropped from 20 TPS to 17 TPS since around version 28, I ran several instances of observable and noticed that all the runic buildings even when idle are consuming 200-400us/t I believe it has to do with the block checking (for completeness) and with checking for a valid input.
