Hi, thank you writing the Cuda text, which i came across recently and it is much faster than other text editors and this has allowed me to write faster. However the language server is not working, would it be possible to integrate the language server protocol.

I checked the language sever protocol (lsp settings) and it says that for each language you have to create a separate json. I was not able to find where to locate the settings and where to add these.

Can you help me with the same.

Yes, file lsp_NNNNN.json in the 'settings' dir of CudaText. you did not find the 'settings' dir? it's location is here:

https://wiki.freepascal.org/CudaText#Location_of_'settings',_'py',_'data'_folders

on linux, it is usually ~/.config/cudatext.

I was not able to find where to locate the settings and where to add these.

Thank you and this is a very proper reply and suggestion, and i thank you for the same. Additionally, i want to ask that do i need to make a separate lsp file for each of the language i code in or i can combine all of them in one json.

As the wiki tells in

In the server config "lsp_*.json", key "lexers", you need to specify the mapping between CudaText lexer names and LSP language names.

so it is one file per language.

Thank you and this is what i thought but i still asked. Better to ask rather than wasting time in thinking by myself and still not sure. Thank you for the answer and time in replying.

I really like this one and besides the Kate the other text editor i use, this is the fastest i have used. I only use Kate and CudaText now for the text based and i thank you for writing this.

btw. SublimeText's parser is little faster (a little).

I have used also Sublime and still uses it sometime but i like the flexibility of this editor. I am now configuring the language server, and will let you know if everything goes well and will put for all the other users.

Would it be a possibility to add the HTML preview like Brackets in the same, so that you can have all the abilities in one editor. I thank you for replying and having this discussion. let me know if i can be of any help.

no, because VSCode / Brackers use browser engine, they can integrate web preview. Cud don't use any web engines at all.
maybe it can embed Chromium via DLL? but it is hard work. not for me.

Thank you and i am installing the css server and it is giving this error:

../../../../../node_modules/@types/simple-peer/index.d.ts:139:28 - error TS2304: Cannot find name 'MediaStreamTrack'.

can you let me know how to overcome this.

I never installed CSS server. but our wiki has the info about CSS (ie "vsc-css") server: https://wiki.freepascal.org/CudaText_plugins#LSP_server_for_CSS/SCSS/LESS
that info is from LSP-plugin-author @veksha .

If you are on windows, that wiki page info needs correction.. maybe you can reproduce wiki steps on linux first, then try it on windows...

Thank you for this information and i followed the same steps. However, it was not working and i only use ubuntu linux and previously mac as the operating system.
