[Discussion] CudaText video review

As @Alexey-T mentioned in #2868 there could be a video review of CT. Let's discuss it here.

I checked the CT's site and found there are both YouTube review and series of GIF-animations. They look well and I think we shouldn't create something instead. But we can try to make something in addition. I mean a short video like a trailer or a teaser. 'CudaText in one minute' with short review of lead features would be great. I haven't done anything like that, but I would try to do.

First thing we need is the background music. @Alexey-T, do you have an appropriate track for CT? I think the best fit is the "Corporation" theme. But it also could be kinda 'aggressive', like a blockbuster trailer theme. I've checked dozens of free tracks but didn't find something really cool yet.

The second thing is the feature set we want to show. Themes, plugins, multi-carrets and so on.

After that we can start to write videos and mix them in the short review. If we success it helps to expand the CudaText auditory. Maybe. Once. :)

Background music, is needed for video without voice. so you want such a video. Ok too. Lot of ST3 videos have the voice..

what features to show? multi-carets, like on our current gif. like on video from ST3 homepage. "Add next occurrence of current word" too (like on ST3 homepage). Command palette. some work with Proj Manager.

1. Remove .zip extension (rename CudaText.001.zip --> CudaText.001) for all files
2. Assemble it via Total Commander or via cat (under linux)
3. Rename to zip and unpack

I like it, thanks, captions on bottom help to see. part 'hotkeys' is blurry (better to write "hotkeys dialog, we set hotkey for command ........., we call this command now via hotkey"). ok if you won't fix it.
screen res is too big. so letters are small. on video on my pc. ok if you won't fix it.

Wow, the final sounds were very very good... maybe same comments like @Alexey-T, I would have liked to see the same font that was used in the end part, maybe a little zoom in or minor screen resolution, but in general really good to be the first approach 😄. Thanks @xcme.

No problem with minor changes, if they are related with text font, size, effect and position. Let's collect below you want to change, so I could do everything in one go.

@jairo-martinez, the same font for titles below, right? What about font size?

@Alexey-T, I used 'hotkeys' instead 'hotkeys dialog' because further I'm showing how to move tab between panels using keyboard shortcuts and how to move block of code with them. But I can change titles/descriptions. It's not a problem.

With regards the screen resolution, it's going to be a problem to change it, because I have to record and then mount all from scratch. It looks good on YouTube in theater mode and in full screen, so if one wants to see details he/she should press T or F. :) Anyway, I'd prefer to keep resolution as is.

Hi @xcme about the fonts, I prefer to use a font like you use at the end or similar font, the position depends if is possible to put the "hotkeys" (e.g. when you open the command palette you could put the text: Ctrl+Shift+P in the left corner maybe or center if it fits)

and when you press new hotkey, better add text "hotkey <.......>" in the corner.

@xcme Well done, I like your video.

However, I think the following could be done better:

1. Instead of displaying the text "User-defined settings" you should display "Settings as JSON file".
2. When presenting the multiple view feature you should show more views than only 2. To have up to 6 views is amazing and should be pointed out.
3. Since search & replace is a core functionality of text editors, I miss the presentation of that feature. Also, it should be pointed out that it is possible to display the standard search & replace dialog as a floating dialog or integrated at the bottom of the edit window. Maybe even the FindInFiles plugin should be presented.

Here is the second version. I have no time to make changes in video scenes but I've fixed some text issues you guys pointed above. Check this version for typos and mistakes in description. Remove ".zip" and assemble it. It's a mp4 file.

Changes:

1. Opacity effect on titles at the bottom
2. Titles are a bit elevated
3. New hints under them
4. Titles now use other fond and have smaller size

Hope it's a final version, but if you find some typo I'll fix it. :)

perhaps when the video was uploaded, they chose the type - for children, which is why comments are disabled, and possibly links
