User input required for registering devices

Most protocols need some kind of user interaction to register/add/pair/link.... a device to the gateway, for example an IP address, a PIN code, a decryption key.... Also some of them only work via user input (meaning that devices cannot be autodiscovered).

The platform should provide a way for the user to register/add/pair/link.... these kind of devices.

Also the API should let developers set those requirements on the Protocol / Device implementation/s and proper and detailed documentation/examples should be available.
