И хотя в <a class="verse" verse="Hos915">Ос. 9:15 Бог говорит о Своем народе

src is correct

I guess, issue appears with [a-d] letters. Maybe something like [0-9])\s[а-д](?![а-яА-Я]) instead of ((?<=[0-9])\s[а-д]) will fix this bug.
