It seems there is a difference in the definition of the two indices R95p and R99p between Climpact and some well established sources. Climpact produces the total precipitation amount (mm) for the days exceeding the 95th, or 99th, percentile. Other sources define the same index as count of days when the threshold is exceeded. I would be interested in knowing a bit more about the background to this.
