I actually need some help with a couple more facts in order to proceed.
Tell me about your computation of distance (ratio of A* distance), z-coor, and degrees from A*.
Also, please specify what is A*.

Several of those values cam direct from ATNF.
The work of the code here is mostly just unit conversions and coordinate transformations.

A* refers to Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of the milky way.

Perhaps I can draft some documentation here to replace my blog post.
