Sorry to bother with this issue again.
At my company we were wondering if it would be possible to release a patch for version 0.6.3 fixing the eth_getStorageAt bug or if we are going to need to fork.
I have created a branch with the same fix and e2e tests for that version. typestring/eth_getStorageAt_always_returns_0_v0.6.3
