Motivation

Hey Yi developers! ๐Ÿ‘‹ We're working on Yi Cookbook, aiming to make development with Yi models easier and more enjoyable for everyone!

To ensure that the Cookbook truly meets the needs of more Yi developers, we'd love to hear opinions from you!

Solution

  • For format, do you prefer Markdown, Jupyter Notebook, or something else? What do you expect the ideal Cookbook to look like? What's the most convenient way to present code examples, tutorials, and instructions? Tell us what you think!
  • In terms of content, what would you like to see in the Cookbook? What kind of tutorials(Agentใ€funtion callใ€finetuneใ€promptใ€rag), guides, and examples would help you use Yi more effectively? For instance, common development tasks, troubleshooting tips, best practices, or anything that can make your development smoother. Don't hesitate to share your thoughts!
  • For the Cookbook's README design: Would you find it helpful to organize all tutorials directly within the README using three tables (opensource, API, ecosystem)? Do you think this type of presentation would help you quickly find what you're looking for? Or do you have any other suggestions?

Ultimately, the format and content of the Yi Cookbook will be shaped by the voice of every Yi users! We'll carefully consider every suggestion and work together to build Yi Cookbook that truly benefits our Yi community and Yi users!

โ€Œโ€Œโ€ŒI hope the code provided in the Cookbook is complete, and it can be run by simply copying and pasting. The steps for environment installation and variable configuration should be as few as possible.

We'll definitely consider that (like maybe using ipynb or markdown formats would be more convenient). After all, everything we do revolves around making Yi developer-friendly!
